Sandia, Los Alamos, the State of New Mexico, Intel, and some other folks have gotten together and built a very large supercomputing cluster. Named Encanto, the cluster is composed of over 1,700 dual 3GHz Xeon quad core processor nodes- that’s 8 CPUs per node, over 14,000 CPUs in total. Currently it’s the third fastest supercomputer [...]

This winter, my brother, Jennifer, Matt, and I all went in on buying some property up in Idaho. It’s 52 acres in total, and it’s about 5 miles from my parents’ house. They went up to the property this weekend and took these pictures.
